Removal of Benign Skin Lesions
20–45 minutes
Removal of benign skin lesions is a minor dermatological procedure performed to safely remove non-cancerous skin growths for medical, functional, or aesthetic reasons.
Each lesion is assessed individually to ensure accurate diagnosis and the most appropriate removal technique.
The focus is on complete removal while preserving healthy surrounding skin and minimising scarring.

How the procedure is performed
The procedure begins with a medical examination to confirm that the lesion is benign and suitable for removal.
Once assessed, the area is cleansed and local anaesthesia is applied to ensure comfort.
Depending on the lesion type, removal may be performed using surgical excision, shave removal, laser, or other appropriate dermatological techniques.
When necessary, removed tissue is sent for histological examination.
